Swick Thinks Hardy Needs To Focus On The Fight
At the press conference for UFC 105, Hardy said Swick was a nice guy and didn’t feel the need to trash talk like he had prior to his fight with Marcus Davis at UFC 99. Then he decided to present Swick with a “runner-up” trophy at the podium.
“I actually got Mike a bit something so he didn’t leave England empty-handed, just something to remember his journey by,” the 27-year-old Brit said. “I’m gonna be busy after the fight, answering questions, and sorting a game plan for Georges St. Pierre, so thanks Mike.”
Swick later admitted he was a bit puzzled by the gesture, and promised to give the statue back after the fight.
“When guys play these kind of games, it’s either because they’re insecure and they’re trying to sell themselves, or they are that confident, I don’t know where he stands.”
I don’t like when fighters do this kind of stuff to play with the other fighters head. To me, it’s a sign of weakness and shows they are not confident.
