UFC 130 Results

Wednesday, June 1st, 2011

Well, UFC 130 is over. Rampage Jackson beat out Matt Hamill by unanimous decision, defeating him in the Octagon. Hamill put up a good fight, but Rampage Jackson was in a good place, and was simply physically superior.

I actually didn’t feel like rooting for Rampage, to be honest. I like Hamill’s heart and his personal story. but, the stats were there, and he was likely to dominate no matter how much heart Hamill showed.

Sometimes, powerhouses can simply smash through efforts made by other people, and that s the way it is. Oh well. On a side note, I haven’t been wrong in my predictions about a fight in a long time. Well done, me. My average for predicting these things is around 80% ish now. Whoooo!

Predictions For Tomorrow

Friday, May 27th, 2011

OK! Time for a prediction set for UFC 130. The fight goes down tomorrow, and it should be pretty interesting.

Rampage Jackson is fighting Matt Hamill in the Octagon tomorrow, with both of the fighters being selected after the originals dropped out. Essentially, this means that the fighters have had less time to train to fight each other, and that means that things may get more unpredictable in this one.

Matt Hamill is a close quarters guy who likes to use wrestling and Jiu Jitsu to subdue opponents, while Rampage is a more in your face kind of fighter, smashing away with everything in his arsenal to blitz the opposition.

If Hamill can close the gap and get Rampage into a lock, then that may be the end of it. However, rampage looks to be in better shape and has much more destructive force than Hamill, giving him the edge there.

Hmmmm. This one is tricky. Honestly, the contenders look like they are actually evenly matched.

Alright, here goes. I predict that Rampage Jackson will win it. He’s a ferocious contender that has a lot of fights under his belt.

UFC 130 Reminder

Wednesday, May 18th, 2011

Just a reminder that UFC 130 is about a week and a half out, and that it’s gonna be a great fight.

This is a match for pride and for glory, peeps. Just so we’re clear, the match has been changed to Jackson vs Hamill, after Maynard and Edgar were declared unfit to fight after injuries.

One thing is for sure. this is gonna be a deeply personal match for both people. There is no question that they are evenly matched, so it might be a matter of who is willing to take the most punishment and outlast the other.

UFC 130 goes down on the 28th! We’ll spend the next week looking at the fighters and do a brief bio on each, and then we’ll cap it all off by having me predict the way things will go down. This fight is truly going to be one that will be memorable to see, given the way tgat things have been changed up recently.
